Every person is born with an identity and his NAAM (Name), by which he is recognised in society and the world.
Janki (NUTAN), a widow, mother of two sons, Ravi (Kumar Gaurav) and Vicky (Sanjay Dutt) was hiding a secret from Ravi for quite a long time. Ravi is the child born from an illicit relationship between Jankis husband and her mistress. Unfortunately, Ravis real mother had died when Ravi was just an infant. This revelation shocks Ravi but he accepts this truth whole heartedly and becoming more loving and caring towards Janki . Ravi takes on the responsibility of running the house.
Janki real son Vicky is a dreamer wants to make it big in a easy way. Towards this goal, he happens to land in Dubai to cherish his dreams but as fate would have, his document turn out to be manipulated, which leaves him now here. Desperate and helpless, he walks into the treacherous web of Rana (PARESH RAWAL), the Don of Heroin and Drug trade which leads him to Hong Kong.
Here he is trapped in three ways, first the police is after him, secondly his love- bondagefor Amrita? stops him from further nefarious activities, and thirdly his own conscience.
Brother Ravi and mother Janki, no longer could wait for Vicky to return home. When the WAIT becomes torture, Ravi sets out to Hong Kong to bring his brother Vicky back to India.
But now Vickys get-away from Hongkong is not easy ....
