Synopsis
It's a season of stars turning producers. And one more guy who enters into the league is none other than supermodel turned actor Milind Soman. And the film he is making is not usual for sure. Love Rules-Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula has a good subject and the debutante director Parvati Balagopalan.
Love Rules (or is it just Rules?) is about a simple Radha (Meera Vasudevan). She is a girl who you could find somewhere in your neighbor and admire her. But her problem is that she is in love with a supermodel Vikram Verma for almost seven years and alas, her love is just one-sided affair. But she never ever has dreamt of meeting the guy whom she likes like anything. Vikram Verma is a guy who is content with his life and wants to open a restaurant some time in life
Her luck however had different plans. Through her photographer boss (Raj Zutshi), Radha happens to come across Vikram in person. That was the things she had always wanted but soon, she realizes that Vikram is in love with a supermodel (Namrata Barua) and he wants to live rest of his life with no one else but her. This realization disheartens the bubbling girl who feels that she can get the guy. But how, that's the question, as she don't know any rules of love and have no idea how one can win her love.
At this point, Radha's grandmother (Tanuja) comes to her rescue and she tells the girl that I will teach you all the rules of love and even tricks to attract the guy. So, then begins the game of love where a girl tries to get the guy she wants. Love Rules is shot extensively in Mumbai and some portions of the film are shot at Lonavla, Manali and Uttaranchal. The film has cost around Rs. 3 crore to its producers.
Meera Vasudevan is making her big screen debut with this film. A model turned actress, she has already worked in a Telugu film Golmaal with Chakraborthy, which was released in February this year. Meera is also working on a couple of more regional films. Milind Soman is playing supermodel in the film, that's what he is in real life also. Nirja Shah, one of the producers, is the editor of premium magazine Elle and was instrumental in bringing in Tanuja to play grandmother's character.
Other credits of film include cinematography by Chinmaya Khatri, story, screenplay and dialogues by Ajitabh Menon, art by Meera Dabir and Satish Chipkar, editing by Jyotsna Murthy, background music by Vanraj Bhatia and fashion show costumes by Suneet Verma.
